Thanks to the “bring your own device” movement, many organizations now have the need for mobile device management solutions that can manage the employee-owned devices that are accessing their corporate networks. The good news is there are numerous providers in the mobile device management solution arena, many options to choose from, and a known set of selection criteria. What many don’t realize, though, is that analyzing these selection criteria should not be your starting point. Your starting point should be deciding if you want to have or support your employees’ private devices on your network at all.
