Ebay vs Craigslist: Internet’s David vs Goliath

It is still unclear, if California gubnatorial candidate and former eBay CEO Meg Whitman was trying to pull something over on Craig Newmark’s company, Craigslist.org, when in a 2004 meeting that cinched the deal in which eBay acquired a 28 percent minority stake in Craigslist for $32 million, she withheld information about launching a direct competitor to the community minded, big "D" Democratic, Obama disciple. Kijiji, an online classified site that directly competed with Craigslist appeared from nowhere apparently and Whitman tried some strong-armed tactics, we have not seen from our muscle bound present governor — "and Craigslist CEO, Jim Buckmaster said, it led him to question whether Whitman was "trustworthy."

"Be careful whom you trust: Craigslist CEO Says He Had Worries About eBay" is being played out online and we’d love to get your thoughts.
